ITINERARY

06:15-06:30:  Pick up from various hotels in Bangkok, depending upon the hotel location and transfer to the River Shopping Complex for the Air-Conditioned Coach. 

07:30 - Depart Bangkok to Ayutthaya, passing through many main parts of the Angel City. Along the way, you will see an agricultural country 

09:00 - Arrive at the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, built during the Ayutthaya era. The palace is beautifully decorated in both traditional Chinese and European style. See the beautiful Aisawanthipaya- Art Pavilion, the unique Chinese-style hall with a vast collection of Thai, Chinese, and European artifacts, as well as many other outstanding monuments. The palace itself is a pretty garden with plenty of rare flowers. 

10:30 - Arrive at the Ayutthaya, the Ancient city, which was the former Thai capital for over 400 years. The prosperous city used to dominate trade in Asia as well as being the center of trade between Thailand and many European countries, including Britain, France and Holland. 

Nowadays the glory and the beauty of the grand palace and Temples in the past vanished leaving merely a glimpse of ruins, despite this it is a good reflection of the past. River sun brings you a combination of both the ruins and the remaining historical attractions. 

- Wat Maha That. Over 600 years old, Wat Maha That was the heart and soul of the Ayutthaya people. It was almost completely destroyed by the Burmese during Thai-Burmese war. 

- Wat Na Phra Men: Remains in perfect conditions, as it was used as the Burmese headquarters. The splendid Golden Buddha, dressed in regal attire, was place in the temple along with the three thousand year old green stone carved Buddha. Both are considered as extremely valuable national relics. 

- Wat Lokayasutharam has a mysterious past, hereby its origins are unknown. The temple enshrines a Largest Reclining Buddha Image which was built during the Early period of the Ayutthaya Region. The other two ancient temple, as well as the ruined site also surround the compound area. 

12:30 - Depart Wat Lokayasutharam for to White Orchid River Cruise at Wat Chong Lom Pier in Nonthaburi Province

13:30 - The cruise leaves the pier and heads downtream toward Bangkok

- Buffet Lunch on Board:  Delicious Meals served in a full menu of Thai and European cuisines, desserts, season fruits, coffee and tea.

15:00 - Coffee and tea will be served

- Throughout the journey you are able to watch the Chao Phraya River banks scenery from the White Orchid Cruise, either on deck in the fresh cool tropical air or from the refreshing air-conditioned passenger room. 

15:45:   Arrive Bangkok and disembark at the RIVER CITY SHOPPING COMPLEX, and transfer you back to your hotel.

07:30 - Drive north to Ayutthaya 

08:30 - Visit Wat Phu Khao Thong, originally built in 1,387 by the second king of Ayothaya kingdom, is an impressive monument in North-western part of Ayutthaya. When the Burmese took over Ayutthaya in 1569, the Burmese king built a Mon-style chedi (or pyramid) on top of the former temple to celebrate his victory over Ayutthaya and the Siamese. 

09:30 - Continue to the Ayutthaya Historical Park and visit to the ancient palace ground. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, once a royal temple lying besides the Grand Palace, was once the most significant temple during Ayutthaya period. Adjacent to Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is Viharn Phra Mongkolbopit, an impressive building that houses a large seated bronze Buddha image. Its rebuilt pristine hall was believed to be a replica of the old Assembly Hall of Ayutthaya. 

12:00 - Lunch at the local Thai restaurant 

13:00 - Visit to Wat Lokaya Sutha to see the largest reclining Buddha of Ayutthaya with 8 meters high and 42 meters long. The Buddha image was made of brick and covered with plaster. 

14:30 - Onward to Wat Mahathat, a classic temple ruin of Ayutthaya and famous for the picturesque Buddha head engulfed by the Bodhi tree roots. The foundation size and the remaining prangs and towers attest the significance during its time. 

15:00 - Depart from Ayutthaya back to Bangkok 

16:30 - Arrive in Bangkok and start to transfer tour participants back to different hotels.

06:15-07:30 a.m. (approx) - Pick up you and other tour participants at different hotels in Bangkok city center. 

07:30 a.m. - When the group is ready, we head north to Ayutthaya, the 2nd capital of Siam, renowned for past relics and ancient temple ruins. 

09:30 a.m. - Arrive in Ayutthaya and visit Wat Phu Khao Thong, a huge white-grey landmark with an amazing Mon-style chedi on top of the monument. You can see panoramic view of the vast rice field on top.

13:30 a.m. - Continue to Ayutthaya Historical Park to visit the famous Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, one of the most important historical sites during Ayothaya Period. It was the former royal temple, lying inside the grand palace compound. Nearby walk to the Viharn Phra Mongkolbopit, a beautifully decorated sanctuary that houses a large bronze cast Buddha image originally enshrined in the open area outside the Grand Palace and later covered by a building in the reign of King Songtham. 

14:30 - In the afternoon, visit the famous Summer Palace of Bang Pa-In. The palace was originally used by the royal family as a summer retreat during Ayutthaya Period. It was destroyed during the downfall of Ayutthaya and was restored by the fourth king of of Rattanakosin Kingdom (current Chakri Dynasty of Thailand). Inside the palace, there are many impressive buildings and gardens, derived from the East and West cultures. 

16:00 - Depart from the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace and return to Bangkok 

17:30 - 18:30 - Drop off at the hotel in Bangkok

10:30 - Arrival at Ayutthaya, a World Heritage City and historic capital of Thailand. Visit to Wat MahathatWat Phra Sri Sanphet and Viharn Phra Mongkhon Bophit.

13:00 - Welcome aboard the Grand Pearl Cruise Liner at Wat Chong-lom Pier (Nonthaburi). Sumptuous buffet lunch with a choice of a variety of oriental and western cuisines, while you may relax and enjoy the fascinating scenery on the River of Kings. The boat will pass Nonthaburi province before reaching Bangkok City.

15:00 - Coffee will be served while you enjoy the enchanting sights along the River banks such as the colorful Royal Barges, Thammasart University, The Royal Grand Palace and the graceful Wat Arun - the Temple Of Dawn

Visit Thailand–Burma Railway Centre an interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand– Burma Railway. The fully air–conditioned center offers the visitor an educational and moving experience 

Visit Allied War Cemetery which is memorial to some 6000 allied prisoners of war (POWs) who perished along the death railway line and were moved post-war to this eternal resting place.

Enjoy a scenic long–tailed boat trip along Maeklong River to the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai, a part of Death Railway constructed by Allied POWs.

In the morning at 06:20 a.m., pick up at your hotel lobby and other tourists at their hotel before driving west to Kanchanaburi

Upon arrival in Kanchanaburi, start the day with visit to the War Cemetery, where the remains of nearly 7,000 prisoners of war who perished in the construction of the Thai-Burma Death Railway were buried   Continue to visit Bridge over the River Kwai: a part of the “Death Railway”, You can walk around and take photos.
